Stadium District New Construction 100,000 S.F. Mixed Use
Studio [intrigue] Architects has been a part of the Stadium District "development design team" since 2004. Services range from the original design; redesign of the building facades (currently under construction), and construction administration. The stadium district project is the first major urban redevelopment project in the city of Lansing (private investment/new construction). It is not only changing the skyline, but how citizens of Lansing live in and work in their urban center. |
Old Town Medical Arts Center New Construction / Renovation 20,000 S.F. Mixed Use
Old Town’s historic Cedar Street School, which had been closed for over 20 years, recently got a sustainable upgrade en route to becoming the Old Town Medical Arts Center. As the winner of Lansing’s 2009 Downtown Innovation Award, the 3 story building contains a mix of medical, physical therapy and retail uses. The project is currently on track to receive LEED Gold certification by the USGBC. Green building highlights include a rainwater collection system for non-potable water use, a geothermal HVAC system and the use of materials with a high recycled content and low environmental impact. Studio [intrigue] Architects is proud to have been part of the team that aided in the restoration of this significant building, while also aiding in the City of Lansing’s urban renewal process. |
Technology Innovation Center New Construction / Renovation 7,000 S.F. Office The East Lansing Technology Innovation Center is geared toward start-up, technology based businesses in the Lansing Metro area. Catering to this demographic the T.I.C is outfit with enclosed offices and open air workstations which have access to shared conference rooms and other business amenities. With a downtown East Lansing location that overlooks MSU’s campus, this urban style incubator provides a creative and energetic environment with the use of materials such as acid etched concrete, clear acrylics and exposed plywood. Offices boast sliding doors equipped with barn-style hardware. The suite built-out occupies approximately one third of the East Lansing City Center third floor and is managed by the E.L Downtown Development Authority. |
